The Story of a Photographer

Hi, I’m Harry Neale, the photographer behind Harry Neale Photography.

I’ve grown up with a real passion for horses, racing and the countryside, and these interests have naturally become a big part of my photography. Being around horses and livestock from a young age has given me an understanding of animals and the environments they work in, which I think is really important when trying to capture natural photographs.

My love for photography started as a hobby, taking photographs around racing, farms and the countryside. Over time, I became more serious about developing my skills and turning something I enjoy into a photography business.

A particular passion of mine is racing photography. Being involved in point-to-point racing myself means I understand the atmosphere, the people and, importantly, how quickly things happen. I enjoy capturing everything from horses in action to the quieter moments around the yard.

I also photograph agricultural, sporting and event photography, giving me the opportunity to work in lots of different environments and meet a wide range of people.

For me, photography is about more than just getting a good picture. It’s about capturing the character, atmosphere and moments that make an occasion, horse, animal or event special.
